About This Vacuum
The ECOVACS Deebot T8 AIVI combines vacuuming and mopping with AI-powered navigation. Its AIVI technology recognizes objects like shoes, cables, and furniture 200% faster than previous models, steering around obstacles without getting stuck. True Mapping uses laser technology and dTOF sensors to map your home with 4X the precision of standard laser mapping, saving multi-floor maps 30% faster. The integrated OZMO mopping system vacuums and mops simultaneously, with a 240ml water tank covering over 2,000 sq ft and 4 levels of water control for different floor types. The 5200 mAh battery runs for up to 3 hours, cleaning areas up to 3,200 sq ft in standard mode. Through the ECOVACS app, you can divide rooms, set cleaning sequences, adjust suction power per area, and create no-go zones. An on-demand HD live video feed lets you drive the robot remotely to check on pets or monitor your home. The T8 AIVI works best on hard floors and low-pile carpets. It's upgradeable with the OZMO Pro oscillating mop and 2.5L auto-empty station (sold separately). Regular maintenance of brushes and filters is required.
Frequently Asked Questions
Rarely. The Deebot T8 AIVI steers around shoes, cords and toys, and it seems to learn the tricky spots in a home over time. The AIVI system recognizes objects so it can avoid them instead of bumping through.
It often does take a few attempts. Leave every door open and don't pick up or move the T8 AIVI until it finishes, which is the usual fix. Once the map is saved, the problem doesn't tend to come back.
Quite limited. Room names come from a preset list, splitting rooms in an open-plan layout is awkward, and saved areas have changed on their own in at least one home. You can still set a cleaning order, suction per area and no-go zones in the ECOVACS app.
Very well on both. The T8 AIVI collects a lot of dust and dog hair from hard floors and carpet. Its onboard bin holds 0.24 liters, and ECOVACS sells a 2.5L auto-empty station separately.
Light daily wiping is all it does well. The OZMO system mops while the T8 AIVI vacuums, using a 240ml tank with 4 water levels. For more than that, the optional OZMO Pro oscillating mop does a better job.
Low rugs, yes. Some wool, shag or fringed rugs stop the T8 AIVI or leave it stuck, so set a no-go zone around those in the app.
