About This Vacuum
The ECOVACS DEEBOT 661 is a battery-powered robot vacuum for regular floor cleaning without manual effort. It uses navigation sensors to move between hardwood, tile, and carpeted surfaces. A three-stage cleaning system combines suction with rotating brushes to pick up dirt, dust, and pet hair. You can choose from spot cleaning, edge cleaning, and other modes via the mobile app or manual controls. Runtime reaches 110 minutes per charge, covering most homes in a single session. The low-profile design fits under beds and sofas. It climbs over door frames to handle multi-level homes and returns to its charging base automatically to resume cleaning cycles. A high-efficiency filter captures small allergens. The weak spot is the battery: on some units runtime shrinks steadily within months, from roughly 2 hours down to 10 to 20 minutes, until it stops mid-floor.
Frequently Asked Questions
Not always. ECOVACS rates it at 110 minutes, but on several units runtime shrinks steadily within months, from roughly 2 hours down to 10 to 20 minutes. Some then stop mid-floor, won't wake or lose the app connection, even after a warranty replacement of the DEEBOT 661.
Yes, when it's running well. The DEEBOT 661 collects plenty of hair and dust in homes with shedding dogs and cats, and its two side brushes sweep debris in toward the suction.
It's mixed. Some people connect the DEEBOT 661 quickly and use schedules and voice control without trouble. Others spend hours getting it online, and it keeps dropping offline afterward. Set it up close to your router.
No. The DEEBOT 661 has no room mapping and moves in a random pattern. Over a long run it reaches most spots, but it sometimes gets stuck, so it needs checking on now and then.
Low and medium rugs, yes, though it slows down on them. The DEEBOT 661 can get hung up at a carpet edge, especially under a bed, so watch the first few runs if you have rugs in tight spots.
Usually, but it's inconsistent. Some units always find the base, others improve with use, and some need a nudge onto the charging contacts. Leave clear space around the DEEBOT 661's dock to help it line up.
Lightly. Mopping on the DEEBOT 661 is a damp wipe, and the small water tank runs out fast. It freshens a floor between cleans but won't replace a real mop.
