Shark UV850 Performance Lift-Away ADV DuoClean PowerFins Upright Vacuum

Yes. Suction on the Shark UV850 is strong, and a lot of dust comes out of carpet on the first passes. It works well on laminate, wood and rugs too, since the DuoClean PowerFins head handles carpet and hard floor without swapping brush rolls.

Mostly no. At 17.86 lb the Shark UV850 is easy to push and steer for an upright, and swivel steering takes it around furniture legs without much effort. Not everyone agrees, though. A few find it heavier to handle than they expected, so it's a mixed picture if weight is your main worry.

Yes, and it's one of its strong points. Lift the pod off the Shark UV850 and carry it with the wand for stairs, couch cushions and corners. The included tools swap on and off easily, so going from floor to furniture doesn't slow you down.

Well. In homes with cats and dogs the Shark UV850 picks up pet hair on carpet and hard floors, and hair doesn't tend to wrap around the brushroll. Anti-Allergen Complete Seal keeps the dust it collects inside the machine.

Quieter than you'd expect from a corded upright. The Shark UV850 carries an 80 dB rating, but in day-to-day use it comes across as calmer than that number suggests, which matters if you vacuum while others are home.

Yes. The cord on the Shark UV850 is long enough to cover large rooms from one outlet. There's no automatic rewind, so you wrap it around the hooks on the body when you're done, which takes a minute but keeps it tidy in a closet.
