About This Vacuum
The Shark NV380 Navigator Lift-Away Deluxe is a full-size upright vacuum with a detachable canister pod. Click to remove the pod and you get a lighter, cordless-feeling tool for stairs, furniture, and ceiling fans, while the main unit stays plugged in for power. At 14.42 lb, it handles whole-home cleaning without being unwieldy. The Anti-Allergen Complete Seal technology paired with a HEPA filter traps over 99.9% of dust and allergens. The large dust cup means fewer emptying breaks during longer sessions. Swivel steering cuts through tight spaces around furniture, and the included upholstery and crevice tools cover baseboards to drapes. This works well for mixed flooring, pet owners tackling embedded hair and dander, and anyone who wants upright power with the flexibility to reach stairs and furniture. Being corded means unlimited runtime but you're bound to outlets. Best for methodical, longer cleaning sessions rather than quick daily touch-ups.
Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. Suction is strong and pulls a surprising amount of fur out of rugs, and it does well on vinyl plank floors too. With a 1.04 liter dust cup and a 25 ft cord, the NV380 can get through a long session in a pet home without many stops.
It's mixed. At 14.42 lb, some find it light and easy to put together, while others find it heavy and bulky to move around. The Lift-Away pod helps on stairs, since you carry the canister rather than the whole NV380.
Not always. Several units arrived without the clip that holds the hose tools on the body, so the attachments had to be kept separately. Check for that clip when you unbox the NV380, and contact Shark if it's missing, since loose tools are easy to lose.
An upholstery tool and a crevice tool, which cover everything from baseboards to drapes. Detach the Lift-Away pod and you can carry the canister to stairs, furniture and ceiling fans while the NV380 stays plugged in.
