BLACK+DECKER 20V Max Flex Cordless Stick Vacuum

Yes, for its size. As a handheld the BLACK+DECKER Flex pulls crumbs, dust and dog hair out of car interiors, off shelves and down from cobwebs without much effort. A couple of units have come across as weak or seemed to blow dirt around, so treat it as a tool for surface mess, not grit packed deep into fabric.

No. It works as a light-duty, grab-and-go vacuum for quick cleanups between proper sessions. The floor head is the weak part: it's handy on hardwood, kitchen floors and mats, but it struggles to lift debris and does little on carpet. Keep a full-size machine for the rugs and use the Flex for everything in between.

About 15 to 20 minutes of continuous running, which is enough for one job such as a whole car. Power stays steady until it cuts off instead of fading as the battery drains. For a longer round of cleaning you'll need a recharge between jobs, so park the BDH2020FLFH back on its charging station after each use.

Yes, and the car is often the main reason to own one. The 4-foot flexible hose and the tools reach every corner of the seats and floor mats while the body of the Flex sits on the seat or the floor beside you, so you aren't lifting the whole unit into each footwell.

Not always. Some units start acting up within months: the power switch won't stay on, or the battery stops taking a charge. It doesn't happen to every unit, but it comes up often enough that it's worth registering the Flex for warranty and keeping the receipt from day one.

Easily. A side door opens to dump the dirt bowl, and the filter pulls straight out to tap clean over the trash. The 17 oz bowl and the filter are washable, so a rinse now and then keeps things clear; let both dry fully before you put them back in the BDH2020FLFH.
