Usually not. Floors come out clean and dry fast with no puddles in most homes. A few see water marks or streaks with the HydroSteam Deluxe, and that can come from the cleaning solution rather than the machine, so try plain water if it happens.

Some, every time. The self-clean cycle removes a lot of grime from the brush on the 3515G, but you still rinse and dry the removable parts and wipe out the chambers after each session. It's a short job, but leaving it for later is a mistake.

Mostly. It lifts hair, litter and pet messes well with shedding dogs and several cats. Loose clumps of hair can clog the dirty tank on the HydroSteam Deluxe or get pushed around first, so a quick sweep beforehand helps in heavy-shedding homes.

No. The 3515G doesn't lie flat, so it can't go under beds or low furniture, and it leaves a small gap at edges. At 12.5 lb it can feel heavy, though it pushes easily enough across an open floor.

More than you'd expect. The dirty water tank on the HydroSteam Deluxe is small, and even in a home under 1,000 sq ft it typically needs emptying 2 to 3 times per session.

It vacuums and washes floors at the same time using suction and a water-based cleaning solution. HydroSteam Technology adds steam to help break down tough grease.

It works on hardwood, tile, laminate, and area rugs. It's not recommended for deep-pile carpets.
