Sanitaire Tracer Cordless Vacuum

Often, on bigger jobs. The Tracer's cup is small, so a long session usually means dumping it and cleaning the filter once or twice before you're done. Emptying itself is quick, since a sliding bar pushes the debris out, but plan on a few trips to the bin when you're covering a whole office floor or a large house.

Usually, yes. One charge commonly covers a full round of cleaning, and one janitorial run came out at roughly 40 minutes, in line with the SC7100A's 40-minute rating. The battery is removable, so a second pack stretches a long shift, though spares can be hard to track down. Order one early if your rounds run long.

Yes. In homes with shedding dogs, thick coats included, the Tracer lifts hair well from rugs and hard floors alike. Suction is strong for a battery machine and it moves from bare floor onto a rug without trouble, so a quick daily pass keeps fur from building up between deeper cleans.

Yes. With the motor and bin built into the head, the Sanitaire Tracer turns sharply with a twist of the wrist and feels light to lift, even though the whole machine weighs 7.94 lb. It also stays standing when you let go, which helps when you stop to move a chair or pick something up.

LED lights in the head light up dark corners and the floor under furniture, and the handle collapses for compact storage. The battery comes out, so a second one can sit on the charger while you work.
