Miele Triflex HX2 Cat & Dog Cordless Stick Vacuum

Not on max. One timed run on max came in under 15 minutes, and a single charge often won't stretch across a big house. Eco mode goes much further: one charge covered about 600 sq ft with power to spare. Miele rates the Triflex HX2 Cat & Dog at up to 60 minutes on the lowest setting.

It can be. Some find the bin easy, but others get dust escaping as they empty it, and a few say the bin takes practice or feels fragile. Emptying the Triflex HX2 Cat & Dog straight into an outdoor bin keeps the dust out of the house until you've got the knack.

Very well, even in eco mode, which matters because eco is where the battery lasts. Automatic floor detection on the Triflex HX2 Cat & Dog raises suction as it moves from hardwood onto carpet, and the wide electrobrush has LED lights for dim corners.

It's 15.1 lb, which is a lot for a cordless stick. The build feels solid and high-end, but one home found the Triflex HX2 Cat & Dog heavy, unbalanced and clunky in the hand. Compact mode, which turns it into a handheld, is the easier way to tackle stairs and furniture.

Comfort is the normal upright position, Reach extends it for high shelves and stairs, and Compact turns it into a handheld. It stands up on its own, so there's no leaning it against a wall.

Miele says the HEPA Lifetime Filter only needs occasional washing and isn't replaced. The Cat & Dog version adds a compact brush for pet hair and lint on upholstery.
