Mostly yes. In homes with shedding dogs and cats the Ball Animal 2 pulls up hair well, even right along the walls, though at least one home found it disappointing for hair. The tangle-free Turbine tool handles hair on upholstery without clogging.

After a short learning curve, yes. The ball steering takes a little getting used to, then the Ball Animal 2 moves easily around furniture. At 17.4 lb it feels heavier than many expect, and at least one person found it awkward to stand back upright.

Mostly. The Ball Animal 2 handles hardwood well in upright mode and pulls dirt out of the gaps between boards. The self-adjusting cleaner head seals onto hard floors as well as carpet. Larger debris can be a problem, though: at least one person found it scattered leaves instead of picking them up.

The tools are, the hose less so. The stair tool and the Turbine tool for upholstery work well. The hose on the Ball Animal 2 is a weak spot for some, who find it short or stiff when it's stretched out to reach stairs or high spots.

No. This is a corded model, so it runs as long as you have access to an outlet. There's no battery.
