dreame D20 Plus Robot Vacuum

Strong. The D20 Plus picks up hair, crumbs and dust on both carpet and hard floors, often more than you'd expect from a robot. It's rated at 13000 Pa, and the anti-tangle DuoBrush is there to keep long hair and pet fur from wrapping the roller.

Rarely. The auto-empty base takes the dirt out of the robot's bin, so the bin hardly needs attention, and dreame says the 5L bag lasts up to 150 days. The bags are an ongoing cost, though, so budget for replacements.

It can be at first. Mapping itself is accurate, and setting room order and no-go zones works well once you know your way around, but the app takes some learning. The D20 Plus needs a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network, and it supports maps for more than one floor.

No. Its mopping is light daily upkeep that leaves the floor only slightly damp, which keeps dust down but isn't a substitute for a real mop. The water tank holds 350ml, and water flow is adjustable from the app. Keep a proper mop for anything sticky.

Yes. It moves between hardwood, carpet and small ledges without trouble, so thresholds and rug edges rarely stop a run or leave it stranded. dreame lists it for hardwood, tile and low-pile carpet, so thick shag is outside what it's meant for.

Yes. Voice control works with Alexa, Siri and Google Home, on top of the app.
