BLACK+DECKER 20V MAX POWERCONNECT Handheld Vacuum

No. The BCHV001B is a bare tool, with the 20V MAX battery and charger sold separately. That's the appeal if you already own 20V packs for other BLACK+DECKER tools: a dead pack gets swapped, and you don't replace the whole vacuum when a battery wears out.

It depends on the pack you put in it. Larger 20V MAX packs keep the BCHV001B going a long time, and smaller, older packs still cover typical cleanups. There's no single runtime figure, since it changes with the battery, so if you want longer sessions, the bigger pack is the one to use.

For a hand vac, yes. Suction is strong enough for dust, debris and small particles, though it isn't the most powerful option out there. The BCHV001B uses 2-stage filtration, which BLACK+DECKER says helps it hold suction as the bowl fills.

Usually not. Emptying the bowl and cleaning the filter is easy for most, though it can get a bit messy now and then. The extra-large dustbowl on the BCHV001B means fewer trips to the trash, so the mess comes up less often.

Kitchens, workshops, garages and cars. It handles sawdust, spills and quick messes, and the crevice tool stores on the BCHV001B itself, so it's often left attached for corners and vehicle interiors. It's rated at 80 dB, so it isn't quiet.
