About This Vacuum
The BLACK+DECKER dustbuster Blast is a compact cordless handheld vacuum for quick cleanups around the home. Its motor delivers strong suction, and a washable two-stage filter helps capture both large and small debris. The slim, ergonomic design fits easily into tight spaces, car interiors, stairs, and furniture crevices. An 8V MAX lithium-ion battery powers it, and the trigger design means suction only runs while you squeeze it, which stretches runtime. It comes with a crevice tool and a built-in flip-up brush for dusting and upholstery, and the 290 mL translucent bowl shows when it's time to empty. Suction is strong for a handheld, though bigger crumbs sometimes get left behind and a few units lose power within months.
Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, for the most part. Suction is strong for a handheld, and crumbs, hair and dust come up in one pass. It isn't flawless: bigger crumbs sometimes get left behind, and on a few units the suction faded within months. For crumbs, hair and dust it does the job.
Not really. With a 290 mL bowl it fills quickly and can clog, so the Dustbuster Blast is best kept for crumbs, hair and car crevices. For a whole room, a stick or upright will save you a lot of trips to the trash.
Yes. The Dustbuster Blast comes apart easily and the bowl tips out over the trash without fuss. Because the bowl is translucent, you can see when it's getting full, and the washable two-stage filter comes out too, so it can be rinsed.
Yes. It only runs while you squeeze the trigger. That gives good control for quick bursts on a counter or a car seat, but holding it down can get tiring over a longer job. BLACK+DECKER says the design stretches the 8V battery's runtime.
No. This is a dry vacuum only and isn't designed for wet pickup. Use a different vacuum for wet spills.
