About This Vacuum
The BISSELL SurfaceSense Allergen Lift-Off Pet Upright Vacuum handles pet hair, dander, and allergens across multiple surfaces. Its lift-off canister design switches between whole-home cleaning and spot treatment on stairs, upholstery, and hard-to-reach areas. Powerful suction and a sealed HEPA allergen system capture dust and allergens and hold them inside the vacuum. The TurboBrush tool and crevice tool clean tight spaces and around furniture. It works on carpets, hardwood floors, and other surfaces. SurfaceSense technology switches automatically from carpet to hard floors, and LED headlights show dirt and pet hair in dim spots. The swivel steering makes it easy to navigate around furniture. Regular maintenance like emptying the dustbin and cleaning filters keeps it running at full strength.
Frequently Asked Questions
Well, mostly. Suction is strong and it pulls a lot of cat and dog hair out of carpet and rugs. A couple of units have weak pickup, though, and edges along walls are a weak spot, so you may need the crevice tool there.
Yes. It's lighter than expected for an upright at 15.5 lb, easy to carry up a flight of stairs, and quick to swivel around furniture. The lift-off canister takes even less effort on the stairs themselves.
Yes. The LED headlights show dust and pet hair in dim spots that would otherwise get missed, and they're one of the more often praised details on the SurfaceSense. They're most useful under furniture and along dark hallway floors, where hair tends to hide.
No. SurfaceSense switches between carpet and hard floor automatically, with no button to press, which is one of the features that gets the most praise. You can go from a rug onto hardwood without stopping, and the LED headlights stay on through the change.
