It's a real concern. Several units stopped working, or stopped mopping, within months, and some never worked properly. Keep the packaging and receipt until you're sure the W11 is running well in your home, and test both vacuuming and mopping in the first weeks.

It's mixed. Some homes with heavy shedding get on fine, while in others hair is left behind, wraps the brush or clogs it. The rubber-bristle roller is meant to resist that, but plan on checking and clearing the W11's brush often if you have pets.

When it's working well, it maps rooms accurately with its LDS laser, works the edges first and rarely gets stuck. When the battery runs low the W11 heads back to the base, then picks up where it left off once recharged.

A bit at first. The app needs a 2.4 GHz network and can be confusing to start with, then scheduling is easy. The W11 also works with Alexa, Google Home and Siri, and there's a physical remote for skipping the phone entirely.

About every 2 months. The self-emptying base holds up to 60 days of debris in a 2L bag, so you won't be emptying the robot's own bin for weeks. The base needs its own floor space.
