Frequently Asked Questions
Small, quick ones. The VACFAM 820 weighs 1.1 lb, so it's easy to grab for crumbs, corners, baseboards, desks and car seats. It works as a helper next to a full-size vacuum, not a replacement for one, and the 0.2 L dust cup fits that role: fine for a spill, too small for a whole room.
Enough for dust, crumbs and spilled litter, but the pull is modest. Several call it on the weak side, and in one case it was too weak for pet hair worked into upholstery. Treat the VACFAM 820 as a spot cleaner for loose mess on hard surfaces and car mats and it does what you'd expect.
Loose hair, yes. On floors the VACFAM 820 gathers cat and dog hair and dust bunnies in a pass or two. Hair embedded in couch fabric is another matter, and it struggles there, so it's a tool for the floor and the car seat rather than the sofa.
Long enough for a handful of short jobs. VACFAM rates it at 25 minutes, and about 20 minutes per charge is what's been reported in practice, with high mode draining it faster. For spot cleaning that's usually fine, but don't plan a whole-house session around one charge.
It's mixed, but it leans quiet. Several describe the VACFAM 820 as quiet for a handheld, while one found it louder than expected for something so small. VACFAM doesn't publish a decibel figure, so there's no maker number to check against.
Yes, a charging base that keeps it tidy and ready to grab. One catch: if you dock the VACFAM 820 upside down with debris still in the cup, some can fall out into the base, so empty the cup before you put it away.
