Deeper carpet is the weak spot. The SunSare X7A does well on hard floors and area rugs, but textured stairs and thicker carpet can take several passes and still leave embedded debris behind. In a mostly carpeted home, plan on slow, repeated passes rather than one quick sweep.

About 10 to 15 minutes on max, and about 25 to 30 minutes on medium. Low and medium settings cover a whole home in most cases, but if your floors need max power to pick up properly, the X7A battery runs out quickly. Save max for the rugs and stairs.

Yes. The light on the floor head shows dust and pet hair you'd otherwise miss, especially under furniture and along baseboards. On the SunSare X7A it also makes it easy to see when a patch is done, so you stop going over clean floor.

It can be. The canister detaches and empties easily, but some find it hard to seat again, and if it isn't clicked fully into place the X7A won't pick up at all. If suction suddenly drops after emptying, check the canister before anything else.

A bit. It's light enough for daily floor cleaning, but the motor and bin section is bulky, which makes tight spots and car interiors harder to reach and can tire your arm. At 8 lb overall, the SunSare X7A is easier to use as a stick than up on a shelf.
