Shark Cyclone PET Handheld Vacuum, Navy Blue/Grey, CH701

The Shark Cyclone PET CH701 charges over USB, which suits a vacuum that lives in the car or a hallway drawer. It weighs 1.5 lb and runs for 10 minutes on its lithium-ion battery. Two accessories come with it: an 8-inch crevice tool and a Multi-Surface Pet Tool for hair on couches, stairs, mattresses and car seats. The bagless dust cup empties with one touch, and the foam filter comes out and washes, so there's no replacement filter to buy. Our data lists carpet as its best surface, and Shark also pitches it for upholstery and car interiors. Ten minutes is short. It's enough for a car seat, a pet bed or the sofa cushions after the dog has been on them, but not for working through a house. Shark calls the dust cup XL, though our data doesn't include its volume. As a grab-it-and-go tool for pet hair it makes sense, as long as you keep it charged.
