Kenmore Elite 81714 Pet Friendly Ultra Plush Lightweight Bagged Canister Vacuum with Pet PowerMate, HEPA, Extended Telescoping Wand, Retractable Cord, and 3 Cleaning Tools-Champagne

Thick carpet is what the Kenmore Elite 81714 is aimed at. Kenmore fits it with an Ultra Plush nozzle that uses airflow to get into deep pile, plus a motorized Pet PowerMate for lifting hair off carpet, baseboards and furniture. Kenmore says the PowerMate's design keeps hair from tangling around the brush. It's a bagged canister with HEPA filtration and a 2-motor system. The telescoping aluminum wand reaches 10 feet, the 26-foot cord retracts, and Stair Grip lets the canister rest on a step while you work your way up the staircase. Capacity is 2.8 liters. Weight is the catch. Our figure is 29.6 lb, which is a lot of canister to lift onto each stair, grip or no grip. Pile height on the nozzle is also manual, so you set it by hand when you move from rug to hard floor. If your home is mostly plush carpet and you live with a shedding pet, those trade-offs are easier to live with.
