About This Vacuum
Eureka's Airspeed NEU10AE4 is a compact bagless upright at 7.7 lb, small enough to tuck into a closet. Eureka lists a 6-amp, 700 W motor and a 10.5-inch cleaning path. Our data lists it for hard floors and carpet. For above-floor work, the handle releases and connects to the hose. Put the crevice tool or dusting brush on the end for upholstery, windows and corners. Both tools snap onto the vacuum, so they're within reach while you clean. Eureka gives a 1.7-liter dust cup that empties with one press, and there's one washable foam filter that you rinse and leave to dry. The 10.5-inch path is narrow, so large carpeted rooms take more passes. Our data has no cord length for it, and none of these specs has been confirmed on Eureka's site yet. It's a reasonable fit for a small home, or as a second vacuum kept upstairs.
Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, for a small budget upright. The NEU10AE4 pulls dirt and sand out of carpet without fuss, and it grips hard enough to tug at shag rugs, so go carefully on deep pile. On everyday carpet and hard floors the suction is more than it looks.
Yes. At 7.7 lb the Airspeed is easy to carry from room to room and pushes without strain, even on new carpet. It's compact enough for a hall closet or a camper, which also makes it a sensible second vacuum for upstairs or a small place.
The hose. It's handy for cushions and car seats, but it's on the short side, the tools can be fiddly to fit, and dirt sometimes spits back out of the NEU10AE4 while you're using the hose. For quick jobs above the floor it's fine, but longer reaches get frustrating.
Yes, on floors and couches. Pet hair comes up well with the NEU10AE4 in homes with dogs and cats, from carpet with the main head and from upholstery with the hose and dusting brush. With a heavy shedder, rinse the washable foam filter more often to keep suction up.
Yes. Eureka lists a 1.7-liter dust cup with a one-press empty, and the single foam filter is washable.
