Hard floors. The NEN110D does well on hardwood, tile, upholstery and throw rugs. On installed carpet it often lacks pull, since the floor tool has no powered brush. That makes it a good fit for an apartment with bare floors and a few rugs, and a weaker one for a fully carpeted house.

Yes. At 8.2 lb the Eureka NEN110D is light to carry up a flight or pull from room to room, and it turns easily around furniture. It packs away small too. The telescoping metal wand slides smoothly between lengths, which helps on the stairs themselves.

Usually not. The Eureka NEN110D's 2.5-liter cup empties with a button and the filter rinses easily, but on some units the pre-filter falls off during emptying and makes a mess. Empty it inside the bin, not over the floor. The cup size means you won't be doing this every room.

Rinse the washable filters as needed and empty the cup with the one-button release. Eureka recommends cleaning the roller brush and belt every two weeks so hair and dirt don't clog the floor brush.
