Eureka Bagless Canister Vacuum Cleaner, Vacuum for Hardwood Floor, Carpet

Eureka's NEN180 is a bagless canister with a 2-liter dust cup and a HEPA filter, and both the cup size and its 80 dB noise rating are confirmed on Eureka's site. It weighs 13.2 lb. Our data lists it for carpet and hard floors. The detail worth knowing is the foot switch. You change between floor and carpet modes by pressing it with your foot, so there's no bending over mid-clean. Eureka describes a three-stage, fully sealed filtration system and says the filter and dust cup can be washed directly with water. At 13.2 lb it's on the heavy side, and you'll feel that carrying it upstairs. The 2-liter cup offsets it a little, since you won't be emptying it constantly. Our data doesn't include a cord length for this model. It's a reasonable pick for a home with both carpet and hard floors, where you'd rather rinse a cup than buy bags.
