ECOVACS DEEBOT X8 PRO OMNI Robot Vacuum

Sometimes. It maps fast, reaches into corners and steers around people and cords, but some units get stuck, lose their way or suck up socks. Picking up socks and loose fabric before a run takes care of the worst of it on the X8 PRO OMNI.

Good on most floors. The self-washing roller mop leaves clean, streak-free floors on most hard surfaces. A few see little difference from a basic mop or find mopping weaker over time, so keep the X8 PRO OMNI roller and station clean to hold it at its best.

Not always. On high settings a charge covers about 500 to 800 sq ft, so in large homes it may stop before finishing or run down away from the dock. When it does get back, the X8 PRO OMNI recharges and resumes, which is fine if you aren't in a hurry.

A fair amount. There are many parts to clean and keep up with, from the roller to the station. The app reminds you and walks you through each job, but it's real, ongoing work. Budget a few minutes a week for the X8 PRO OMNI, or it won't keep cleaning well.

It's a weak point. Several units had parts fail within the first year, including the station, the solution dispenser or the navigation, and needed replacements. The station can also fail to empty the robot's bin into the bag. Keep the X8 PRO OMNI paperwork, since warranty claims come up.

Anywhere from minutes to weeks. Some get it running almost straight away, while others spend weeks fine-tuning maps, zones and settings. Expect the X8 PRO OMNI to need some attention in the first few runs before it cleans the way you want.
