Dyson V15 Detect Cordless Vacuum

Dust you'd otherwise miss. The light on the hard floor head picks out fine dust and pet mess, and it's the V15 feature that gets mentioned most. It's a hard floor tool, though, and on carpet you don't get the same view of what's down there.

Often, yes. Its suction is regularly compared favourably with corded vacuums and older Dysons, and Dyson rates the V15 at 240 AW. It isn't unanimous, since one long-term view disagrees, but strength on carpet and hard floors is the most common praise it gets.

In most homes, yes. One charge usually covers a typical home, but larger carpeted homes often need to split the clean in two or add a second battery, and a few wish it simply ran longer. Dyson quotes up to 60 minutes in eco mode and about 10 on boost, so carpet and high power cut that down fast.

Yes. Emptying is quick and clean, and anyone coming from an older Dyson tends to single out the new push-down bin as a clear step up. The V15's bin holds 0.77 liters, and the dust goes straight into the trash without much handling.

Light, for most. At 6.04 lb the V15 is easy to handle on floors and overhead, though it can feel heavy to some, especially older hands. In handheld mode you carry the whole machine, so that's when the weight shows most.

Yes. The V15 only runs while you hold the trigger, and there's no lock to keep it on. Some find that tiring or awkward over a long clean, while others like that it stops the instant they let go, for example when moving between rooms.
