About This Vacuum
The Endura Lite (UD20121PC) is Dirt Devil's compact bagless upright, at 9 lb with a multi-floor brush roll for carpet and hard floor. Dirt Devil says its Endura filtration system prevents loss of suction. We can't check that, but the filter itself is foam and rinsable, so you wash it rather than replace it. For anything off the floor, a quick-release extension wand gives 6 feet of reach, and the dusting brush and crevice tool ride on board. The dirt cup releases with one touch over the trash. Our data is thin on the numbers that matter most for a corded upright. Dirt Devil's listing doesn't give a cord length or a dirt cup capacity, so we can't say how far it reaches from the outlet or how often you'll empty it. Six feet of wand reach won't get you to a high ceiling either. It fits a small home or apartment that needs a light, simple upright for indoor floors.
Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. The Dirt Devil Endura Lite weighs 9 lb, and its small, light body is the main draw for apartments, older people and anyone with a sore back. It also moves smoothly from carpet onto hard floor without fuss, so one machine covers the whole place.
Strong for its size and cost. The Endura Lite pulls visible dirt and dog hair out of carpet and rugs, and suction is the point that comes up most often. For a small home with pets, it does the everyday job well.
Often, with pets. The dirt cup on the Endura Lite is small, so in a home with pets you may empty it several times in one session. Emptying is easy and the filter rinses clean, so it's a nuisance, not a real problem.
Usually not. Most people assemble the Dirt Devil UD20121PC in minutes, but a few found the handle very stiff to push into the body, or the handle screw missing from the box. Check the screw is there before you start, and push the handle in firmly.
Yes. It has a one-touch, easy-release dirt cup and a rinsable foam filter, so there are no bags to buy.
