About This Vacuum
The headline feature on the Bissell CleanView Swivel Rewind Pet 2254 is in its name. Press a button and the 27-foot cord pulls itself back in, so you're not winding it around hooks at the end of every clean. And 27 feet gets you a long way from the outlet. Underneath, it's a pet-focused bagless upright. A Triple Action brush roll works embedded pet hair out of carpet, and Bissell says scatter-free technology keeps debris on hard floors from being pushed around. Swivel steering helps around furniture, edge-to-edge suction works along baseboards, and specialized pet tools are stored on board for blinds, corners and upholstery. Bissell describes multi-cyclonic suction that keeps dirt in the tank and away from the filter and motor. Our data records a disk filter. It weighs 13.7 lb, which you'll notice on stairs. We also don't have a capacity figure for the dirt tank, only Bissell's description of it as large.
Frequently Asked Questions
Very well. The 2254 pulls a lot of dog and cat hair out of carpet, often enough to fill the tank on the first pass in a home with pets. The Triple Action brush roll loosens the hair, and the suction clears what it lifts.
Not to steer, but it's bigger and heavier than many expect at 13.7 lb. The swivel head on the 2254 makes it easy to turn around furniture and chair legs. Carrying it up and down stairs is the harder part.
Yes. Press the button and the 27-foot cord on the 2254 pulls itself back in, so there's no wrapping it around hooks after each clean. The reach covers most rooms, though one person wished it went a little further.
They ride on the vacuum, so they're there when you need them, and the upholstery tool is the one that does the most work on pet hair on sofas and chairs. The 2254's other tools reach blinds and corners.
Yes. Suction on the 2254 is strong on carpet, and Bissell describes multi-cyclonic suction meant to keep dirt in the tank and away from the filter and motor so it holds up through a clean.
Yes. Debris goes into an easy-empty dirt tank. Bissell doesn't list the tank's capacity, and the filter is a disk type.
