About This Vacuum
Small apartments and dorm rooms are what Dirt Devil had in mind for the Simpli Stik Plus (SD22010). It's a corded 3-in-1 stick that weighs just 3.6 lb, and the hand vac lifts off for crumbs on counters, shelves and upholstery. There's a rinsable disk filter, so there's nothing to buy on a schedule. Rinse it, let it dry and put it back. Dirt Devil lists it for carpet and hard floors, and the slim body is meant to get around furniture and into tight spaces. We don't have a lot of figures for this one. Dirt Devil doesn't give a cord length or a dust cup size in the data we hold. It does its best work on hardwood, tile and vinyl, and it often struggles on medium carpet and rugs.
Frequently Asked Questions
Not well. The Simpli Stik Plus does its best work on hardwood, tile and vinyl, and it often struggles on medium carpet and rugs. If most of your floors are carpeted, it's better kept as a quick bare-floor tool.
It's mixed. The SD22010 can feel strong for its size on light debris, but it often takes several passes, and some units pick up very little. Treat it as a quick-cleanup stick for crumbs and dust, not a deep cleaner.
It can. A common complaint is that the plastic latch or clip holding the dust cup on the Simpli Stik snaps, sometimes within months, and the vacuum is hard to use after that. Handle the cup gently when you empty it.
Yes, and that's its strongest point. At 3.6 lb the Simpli Stik Plus is easy to carry upstairs and move around a small home, and it hangs up without effort after use.
On bare floors, yes. The SD22010 gathers cat, dog and long human hair from hard floors without the tangles a brushroll brings. On carpet it's less effective, so pet homes with rugs may need something else for those.
You can use it as a stick vacuum, and the hand vac lifts off for cleaning counters, shelves, furniture and upholstery.
Dirt Devil says the disk filter is reusable and rinsable. You wash it instead of buying new ones regularly.
